Privacy and use of responses
You can use every tool on this site without providing your name or contact details.
Your issue descriptions, notes, reflections and saved profiles stay in the browser on your own device. They are never sent to us, and we cannot see them.
Helping us improve the LRS Explorer
The LRS Explorer is still being developed. To learn which statements are clear, which overlap and how readers use the tool, it shares a small amount of anonymous information when you use it, unless you choose not to.
What is shared: your 15 ratings (including any “Not sure”), whether you answered for yourself or a group, whether you finished, the month, and the questionnaire version. A random code made fresh each time you use the tool lets later changes to your answers replace earlier ones. It is not linked to you or your device.
What is never collected: your name, email address or organisation, the issue you describe, any notes, your IP address, and cookies or tracking of any kind.
Participation is voluntary. Untick “Share my ratings anonymously” on the Explorer page and nothing is shared. The tool works the same either way, and your choice is remembered on your device.
Responses are used to improve the tools for readers. Aggregated results, combined across many readers, may also contribute to research on learning, risk and sustainability. Before any results are published, they will be checked to make sure no individual could be identified, and any formal research will follow the applicable ethics requirements.
The other tools
The Believability Check, TAP Grid and Reflect run entirely in your browser and share nothing. Where a tool remembers your progress, it keeps that in your browser's own storage on your device. You can remove it with the tool's “start again” or delete options, or by clearing this site's data in your browser settings. On a shared computer, we suggest clearing it when you finish.
What the website itself collects
- The site does not ask for names, email addresses or other personal details.
- It does not use cookies, advertising, or third-party analytics or tracking.
- Fonts and images are served from this site, not from outside services.
The site is hosted by Cloudflare. As with any website, the hosting provider necessarily processes technical information such as IP addresses to deliver pages and protect against misuse. The site does not record or store IP addresses, and request logging and visitor analytics are not enabled.
